Our main response to the love of God is love itself (Matthew 22:37). The bible also said that “God is LOVE, and whoever lives in love lives in God” (1 John 4:16 NIV). There are so many unanswered questions in life. Why do bad things happen to good people? Why doesn’t God intervene in the persecution of His people? Where is God as we face so many problems in life? And so many questions the bible seems to have no say. However, our faith is strengthened when we keep loving God in spite of whatever we face here on earth. While man exercised his free will which caused sin from the beginning, Christ’s death restored a loving relationship man can enjoy fully if he responds to God in love and nothing else. Such response quiets all questions when we believe God is in controll, and at the end of the day, He will reveal all when we see Him face to face in eternal life. So as we go to church this Sunday, worship and keep loving God. …Blessings!!!

Cultivating a spiritual passion. David referred to this as a DELIGHT. “But his delight is in the law of the Lord.” (Psalms 1:2). Passion drives and motivates a person to go after his goals. So as David as he served God. It was out of a godly passion (delight) nourished by meditating on God’s word day and night. Never loose it or we become slack and never grow in our relationship with God. David was not perfect but he was a man after God’s own heart, because he nourished his delight with the law of the Lord, the word of God. So as we go to church this Sunday, worship and cherish God’s word, as you cultivate your spiritual passion.. . .Blessings!!!

The woman’s purpose from the beginning was to help her mate. God said “It is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a help mate (helper).” (Gen. 2:18). She was to help her mate’s loneliness, and together they were to be fruitful and multiplied, which means to produce children (Gen. 1:28). That was why the woman was created. Eve became the first mother, and from her came the first children Cain and Abel. God’s plan for the woman is great and no other creation can fulfill it. If there was no woman, there would be no mother, no children, and no family. The woman who became a mother was God’s wonderful creation which fulfilled His many plans for mankind. So as we go to church this Sunday we celebrate as Mothers Day, let’s thank God for this special creation, the Mother. Happy Mothers’ Sunday…Blessings!!!

The family is of God right from the beginning. After He created Adam and Eve, He ordered that the man be united to his wife and they will become one flesh (Genesis 2:14). That was how the family was first formed. A man with his wife and their children can become a blessed family if they unite according to biblical principles. Throughout the bible, principles have been laid out for a successful family (Psalms 127:3-5; 128:1-6; Ephesians 5:22-33). Love, respect, faith, submissions, are mentioned as spiritual virtues for the family. The family is foundational to the development of every community and nations, only if God who originated it is honored. So as we go to church this Sunday, keep thanking God for the family, moreover your family. . . .Blessings!!!

The local church is your immediate agent of God’s kingdom. Paul wrote letters to churches like Rome, Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Philippi, & Colosse. Churches he planted for the purpose of nurturing the spiritual lives of believers. When Jesus comes again believers from all Christian churches of the world will be caught up to meet Him (1 Thess. 4:16, 17). That is the universal church, which you can’t attend, but it is important to be loyal to your local church, your congregation, which is your spiritual family of believers. The bible said we should not neglect meeting together to encourage one another (Heb. 10:25). Your local church is where your gifts, skills, and talents should be utilized. So as we go to church this Sunday, thank God for your congregation, your pastor and church workers, your local church…. Blessings!!!

Free indeed. Samoa is celebrating its Independence today since 1962. The joy of being free from colonial rule is evident as we thank God for such freedom today. Being able to be on its own after years of hardship and struggle. Today is special as we remember that Samoa is founded on God as prayers of thanksgiving were offered to begin this 57th celebration. Yet true freedom is more than just for a government to be independent. Jesus referred to it when He said to the Jews who believed in Him “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31, 32). That is true freedom when people believe in Jesus, abide in His Word, become His faithful followers, and allow the knowledge of His truth set them free on a daily basis. It becomes the basis of peaceful and joyful living. So as we go to church this Sunday, worship and thank God for that true freedom. Happy Independence today….Blessings!!!
